William Schantz oversees a diverse portfolio of businesses in his capacity as the founder and CEO of Mid Atlantic Financial, LLC. This includes his first company, Senior Settlements, LLC, which was founded three decades ago and was notable for 1) his introduction of “Life Settlements” into the capital markets, and 2) its inaugural transaction, a $150 million contract with investment bank Bear Stearns.

Working with customers like Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and countless others over the course of an illustrious career has helped him build a reputation for expertise mixed with a kind heart.

He has championed life settlements throughout his career and founded multiple Settlement life investment funds that have enabled people outside the financial community to invest.

Mr. Schantz graduated with a degree in political science from Villanova University. He has been happily married for more than 40 years. He is the delighted grandfather of 11 grandchildren and the proud father of 5.
